LovEvolution 2009 [Video]

 

I went to the Strong Arm Sessions website, hosted by Elite Force, and found a montage of footage that he took while at his first Love event in San Francisco.  It really captures the energy, madness, and unique characters that litter San Francisco during this annual party.  For those of you who made it out, you might catch yourself in one of the clips of the Chemistry Float, which is easy to spot by all the people in stripes.  For those who didn’t make it, you can watch this and decide whether or not you feel like you missed out ; )

Sooo I went and caught Carl Cox and Josh Gabriel at Mezzanine in San Francisco this last Saturday.  What a great party, as always, from Syd Gris and the Opulent Temple crew.  I got to meet a lot of really cool people and actually got a gig booked that night =)  gotta love the vibes in SF.

Here’s a little taste from the night.  Not the best sound quality, but the buildup and drop of On Off by Cirez D gives you a good idea of how fun it was….

For those of you with an open mind and open ear, here is some psychadelic electronic world music that is amazingly composed by a group called Shpongle.  Shpongle consists of two men – Simon Posford and Raja Ram.  Each with their own unique style contribute fantastic projects through Shpongle and create some of the most creative, trippy music that I can’t help but to repetitively enjoy.  I assure you that you’ll be listening to this over and over again, and each time you’ll hear something new that you didn’t catch or appreciate the first time.

Elite Force & Meat Katie “Non-Believer” (Music Video)

 

Elite Force and Meat Katie just recently got back from Burning Man 2009 “Evolution” where they rocked some heads out in the Nevada desert.  The music video for their track “Non-Believer” uses images that they captured straight from the playa, including footage of the art pieces, dancing crowds, and the infamous Opulent Temple sound camp.
